  • Picco: Located next to Pizzeria Picco, Picco is a chic restaurant with a solid menu anchored in classic Italian flavors. Their Risotto is made fresh every hour and is sold in half or whole orders. Be sure to check with your server and place your order so you can enjoy the freshly made, creamy and rich, risottos with seasonal ingredients. Both restaurants makes a great Neapolitan style pizza, the difference is the very casual family eatery atmospher of Pizzeria Picco versus the more grown up, sophisticated and chic Picco. Oh, and Picco has a full bar, but Pizzeria Picco has soft serve ice cream (don’t worry, you can order a soft serve sundae at Picco even though the soft serve of Strauss Family Creamery milk is technically on the Pizzeria Picco side). No dress code but business casual is the norm of the guests, reservation recommended.

  • Marin Joe’s: Opened since 1954, Marin Joe’s is a classic. Family owned since its inception, Marin Joe’s continues to serve up charcoal grilled, hand cut, steak and chops along side American Italian classic pastas and roasts. Do order the Caesar Salad and watch it assembled and dressed tableside by your server (i do think that every server makes the dressing via their own recipe). If there for lunch, don’t neglect to order the Onion Rings, the breading is light, ethereal really, and the onions sweet and juicy. Better rings i have not had! The burgers at Marin Joes are hand formed to order and fired on the charcoal grill that is the center piece of the open kitchen. Grab a bar seat and enjoy the front row view of the busy kitchen and the chaotic choreography of a kitchen during service. Upgrade to the Special Spinach and enjoy the blast of extra seasoning and olive oil and the salt of the sprinkled parmesan cheese. The Steak Sandwich is another lunch favorite. New York strip, grilled to temperature on a Italian roll, satisfying and flavorful. The steaks, chops and seafood are fantastic and satisfying for lunch or dinner. Don’t forget to tip the valet if you do valet park your car, but there is more parking further up the hill! No dress code, reservations never hurts but the wait is never too long.
